First things first...
REAL: Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it. Psalms 39:6
CULTURED: Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants. Epictetus
:) To kill a circus in one blow, go for the juggler.
REAL: It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience; concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. Heb. 9:9-10
CULTURED: There is more stuff and substance of good in the Lord's promises than the sharpest sighted saint did or can perceive; for when we have followed the promise, to find out all the truth which is in it, we meet with a cloud of unsearchable riches. Dave Dickson
:) The police think the murder weapon may have been a colander, but that theory doesn't hold water.
God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but our standard of giving.

Stewardship Thought for the Week
John the Baptist....what a great example of one of God's stewards! He actively put to use all the gifts God gave him. So it is with us as! All the things we think, do, and say in faith (apart from sin), are actions of a steward of God.
