First things first...
Real: [They] brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Matt.14:35b-36
Cultured: We belittle God when we go through the outward motions of worship and take no pleasure in His person. John Piper
:) Come As You Are: You are not too bad to come in and you are not too good to stay out.
Real: Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! Psalm 119:2
Cultured: Happiness is the final and perfect fruit of obedience to the laws of life. Helen Keller
:) A Jewish rabbi and a Catholic priest were good friends. At a picnic one day, the priest was eating a ham sandwich. "You know," he said to his friend, "this ham sandwich is delicious. I know you're not supposed to eat ham, but I don't understand why such a good thing would be forbidden. When will you break down and try it?" To which the rabbi replied, "At your wedding."
God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but our standard of giving.

Stewardship Thought for the Week
John the Baptist....what a great example of one of God's stewards! He actively put to use all the gifts God gave him. So it is with us as! All the things we think, do, and say in faith (apart from sin), are actions of a steward of God.
